The Art of Kava

Kava is a non-alcoholic beverage made from the Piper Methysticum plant and grows in the South Pacific Islands including Fiji and Vanuatu. The islanders there have been drinking kava for thousands of years for ceremonial and recreational purposes. People drink kava for its medicinal effects including the ability to relieve stress, reduce anxiety and help with insomnia. It has an earthy aftertaste but kava drinkers enjoy the effects more than the aroma of this South Pacific elixir, plus we have flavored kava for those who prefer something a little more tasty!

Kava has a reverse tolerance, so if you are new to the drink, let us know so we can help ensure you have an excellent first experience! The more often you consume kava, the less you will need to feel the effects.  Kava is an all natural and fantastic alternative to alcohol.  Fun fact, kava has 0 carbs, 0 sugar, nearly 0 calories, and no hangover!

The kava we use at Wana Navu Kava Bar is grown to meet the top quality standard we are proud to provide. From our suppliers knowledge to your shell, the goal is to make sure you enjoy the best kava experience unlike any other. Our supplier sources kava from farmers whom they form relationships with and choose the perfect varieties to ensure you'll end up with the perfect shell in your hands.

Making kava isn’t just about what you sip, the key is knowing where it all starts and understanding where it comes from. Our kava is sourced from the nutrient-rich lands of Vanuatu, cultivated by those who have mastered the growing process. The regions in the South Pacific — made up of a perfect blend of rain, sunshine and healthy soil — are the only places to find such delicious perfection.
